PayPal announced a fingerprint-based payment service using a fingerprint scanner on the Samsung Galaxy S5 and is already available in 25 countries. PayPal also make an application for Samsung Gear. Unfortunately the 25 countries in question have not been determined anywhere.
The system works with PayPal to authorize a payment by way of a finger swipe on the screen smartphone. No stuffing box password, passwords, very different from today. Samsung Galaxy S5 is equipped with software Fido Ready to connect fingerprint sensor on the device with the PayPal service in the cloud. The only information that is shared by devices with PayPal is unique encrypted key which allows PayPal to verify the customer's identity without having to store any biometric information on PayPal servers.
